Build 3D models with an AI agent in Dingcad

Dingcad is a free CAD app that runs in your browser. An AI agent edits your model through an API, and you watch the design take shape live. The app opens straight into the 3D canvas.

How to start

  1. Open Dingcad and sign in with Google.
  2. Click Copy ding CAD prompt and give the prompt to an AI agent that can make HTTP requests.
  3. Tell your agent what you want to build. Keep Dingcad open to watch the changes.

The copied prompt includes your scoped API credentials and editing instructions. Treat it as private: give it to your agent, not a public post.

Watch the model grow, one edit at a time

Dingcad represents designs as a tree of geometry operations. Agents add and change one node, part or group per request. Browsers independently build the latest revision; agents can query each viewer’s progress and errors without waiting after every edit. Separate named parts make an assembly easier to understand and edit.

Use nested folders in the parts tree to show or hide components and assemblies. Reset view is in the Parts menu. Space + left-drag, right or middle mouse drag, and two-finger touch pan the view; the explode control separates the assembly. The collapsible agent cam window shows the latest view captured by an agent.

Modeling and export

The engine supports primitives, boolean operations, 2D profiles, extrusion, revolution, transforms, smoothing and bounded expression-based shapes. Download the visible parts as STL in their assembled positions for your next step in a 3D-printing workflow.

Dingcad is early alpha. Check dimensions, fit and geometry before making a physical part.
